Michael V. Longo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Skidmore College in 1998, and obtained his Law degree from New York Law School in 2001.
Prior to joining MSSSV, Mr. Longo concentrated in municipal law with the City of New York as a Senior Student Legal Specialist for two years while attending Law School, and an Assistant Corporation Counsel for three years upon his graduation. During his time with the City, Mr. Longo handled all aspects of cases and successfully tried many, obtaining a defense verdict in three, and having another dismissed after trial.
After leaving the City, Mr. Longo worked in the private sector where he has handled general negligence claims, including premises liability and Labor Law from inception through trial. He has also litigated appeals arising from these cases.
Mr. Longo is admitted to practice law in New York State.
He has run several marathons, and is proudest of his sub 4 hour performance in Boston, where he raised funds for the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
