Richard S. Sklarin graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York at Albany in 1988 and received his J.D. degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1991.  He was admitted to practice before the New York courts, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, in 1992, the Second Circuit of Appeals in 1996 and Pennsylvania in 2000.

Mr. Sklarin has spent his entire legal career working on behalf of numerous insurance carriers (across personal, commercial and professional lines) and successfully litigating in the areas of municipal and police liability, insurance coverage litigation, Labor Law/construction accidents, premises liability, employment litigation, Dram Shop claims, automobile liability (both first and third party matters), E & O claims (for both insurance and real estate brokers) and not-for-profit corporations/homeowners associations.

Mr. Sklarin has successfully tried several cases to verdict over the years in both federal and state Courts as well as recording well in excess of two dozen reported Appellate Division decisions.

Over the years, Mr. Sklarin has been a frequent CLE lecturer for the New York State Bar Association in many of his practice areas as well as providing numerous in house presentations for insurance claims professional on various topics of New York law.

Aside from his law practice, Mr. Sklarin has been President of The Glen at Lewisboro HOA, Inc. for several years and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Westchester County Republican Committee and Judicial Screening Committee for the 9th Judicial District.

Mr. Sklarin resides in Goldens Bridge, New York with his wife and two children.
